FIRST IMPRESSIONS FROM TAHITI
The vertical antenna is OK. I am working almost on 20 and 30 meters.
First QSO were made with USA, few JA and CT1ILT, DM1A et RD3A (WAE CW).
Tonight, first QSO with a french station on 40 meters : F5IN who was working with a 2 elements beam.
I have many trees in the garden, so it is not very good for ham radio.
Dipole for 40-80 will be OK soon and the 3 elements beam will be ok at the end of august.
Propagation here is very strange. Often, all bands are quiet and I understand that Tahiti is very far from the others continents.
Often, I send CQ CQ and nobody reply ! And by moments I can hear Europe !! What a desperate propagation ! I really wait for the 24th solar cycle !
The online log and QSL via Lotw will be OK as soon as possible.
